Our Society events raise cash for charity
Colleagues at our Society have recently taken part in two events to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
During October, the Tipton Bake Off saw our colleagues across the Society's branches in Tipton, Coseley, Bilston and Sedgley make a variety of sweet bakes. Colleagues across the branches were then able to purchase a slice and in doing so helped raise £110 for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
In September, the Tipton also held a colleague Charity Football Match where £130 was raised for the Charity through staff donations. 15 footballers from the Tipton participated in the match with colleagues and family coming along to support the teams.
Emma Gibbons, member of our Charity Committee said: "All our colleagues had a great time baking and participating in the charity football match. Importantly we are proud to raise much needed funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. The helicopters and staff at Midlands Air Ambulance do such as fantastic job helping people in need but without any government support or funding."
