The Tipton supports the local community through food bank donation
As the cost-of-living crisis means more people are finding they cannot afford every day essentials such as food or heating. Our leadership team took to their local supermarket and bought trolley loads of essential items, as the Society donated over £1,500 of food to the Black Country Food Bank. The Society then followed this with a further £1,000 cash donation.
Richard Newton, Chief Executive Officer at the Tipton, said: “Supporting our local community has always been an important part of the Society’s core purpose, and the cost-of-living crisis for many families across our local community is a real and increasing challenge. The Black Country Food Bank provides an important service, and we hope our donation will help as many people as possible during these tough times.”
