The Tipton donates £12,000 to the Black Country Foodbank to help with the continued cost of living challenge

An increasing number of people are left with no option but to turn to food banks amidst the continued cost of living crisis within the UK. As an avenue of support, the Black Country Foodbank helps those in crisis through the provision of emergency food and toiletry supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. The services they provide have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them important breathing space at a time of great need.

The Society is delighted to continue their support for 2024, following our £12,000 donation in 2023, and has made a further donation of £12,000 to the Black Country Foodbank this year.  Colleagues attended the Black Country Foodbank in Brierley Hill to present the team with the cheque and show their appreciation to the important work they do for the community. During the year the Society has also introduced collection points in each of their branches to encourage donations to the Foodbank.

The Society is extremely proud to announce that we will continue to support and work closely with the foodbank team in future and is pledging a further £12,000 donation to Black Country Foodbank during 2025.
