Charitable Foundation funding for six local charities

Our Charitable Foundation has awarded cheques collectively worth over £3,300 to six locally-based charities. Beneficiaries include BUDS, Friends of Sycamore Adventure, Quarry Bank Darby & Joan Club, Theodora, The Giving Hands Mission and WINGS.

Becky Wheeler, Head of Product and Marketing, says: “Many of the beneficiaries are heavily reliant on charitable donations. This is why we are so pleased to help, as it means they'll be able to continue their valuable work across the region.”

Twice a year a panel of Society staff and members of the local community come together to allocate funds to health and education charities based in the West Midlands. Our Charitable Foundation launched in 1999 and has donated over £150,000 to local charities since then.
