 An exciting part time opportunity has arisen to join our Finance team on a fixed term to cover maternity leave as Regulatory Analyst.  The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for the preparation of the accurate and timely submission of financial information to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Bank of England as well as supporting the Finance Team with credit risk analysis of the Society’s loan portfolio.

As Regulatory Analyst you will also support the production of management accounts, Pillar 3 disclosures and testing in relation to new Regulatory frameworks; assisting with day-to-day finance responsibilities when required to do so.

Salary: £19,200 - £22,800 per annum (FTE: £32,000-38,000)
Location: Head Office, Tipton, this is an office-based role, we offer hybrid working following successful completion of training and probationary period.
Hours: Part-time position working 21 hours per week.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure a consistently high quality of work and analysis in the regulatory reporting process.
  • Be responsible for the production of the banking schedules for regulatory reporting.
  • Provide assistance with the production of Pillar 3 disclosures including banking schedules.
  • Be responsible for the production of Regulatory returns; including data integrity within ALMIS.
  • Provide assistance with the production of mortgage book and capital stress testing.
  • Be responsible for the production of Regulatory and any associated Board/Committee reports.
  • Maintain the integrity of data within ALMIS (Reg Reporting).
  • Have ongoing consideration of departmental risks, controls and responsibilities.
  • Support ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the Head of Asset and Liability Management.
  • Maintain procedures and controls for all areas within responsibility.
  • Provide assistance with management accounts and liaising with both internal and external audit.
  • Provide assistance with the maintenance of Regulatory assumption documentation.

Key requirements for this role:

  • Experience of working in a Finance Team and preparing management accounts.
  • Experience within a Financial services industry.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Able to multitask in an environment of competing deadlines.
  • Confidence/ability to use your initiative appropriately.

Qualifications & Experience

  • AAT would be advantageous
  • Experience of regulatory reporting would be advantageous (PRA/FCA)
