I approached Tipton & Coseley Building Society regarding an expat buy to let for clients based in Fuerteventura.
They were looking to raise funds on an unencumbered property in North Yorkshire to purchase a property in Fuerteventura as they are currently renting. They did not have a property in mind yet and wanted to have the cash in had to purchase the property outright.
I approached my business development manager, Paul Sawford, to discuss the case and see if this was a suitable scenario as most lenders prefer to have an sales memorandum for the onward purchase.
The decision in principle is straight forward to complete alongside the subsequent application form, the initial shopping list of documents is short and precise enough to package first time around to avoid any delays with underwriting.
Communication from the underwriter was clear and prompt for information required after the initial review, the turnaround time from application to offer was very quick.
Myself and the clients were very happy with the service provided by Tipton from the initial enquiry all the way through to completion.
I would recommend Tipton to any brokers looking to place their expat cases.Jonathan Cook, Mortgage Broker - 7/7
I recently used the Tipton and Coseley for the first time.
The case was a fairly complicated residential remortgage with a separation and a buy out of an ex-partner with the addition of the clients and two children acting in a guarantor capacity.
I initially contacted my office based BDM, Alex Poole, to discuss all salient points of the case and the client's circumstances, that included one of the guarantors being employed in a business where the main client's (soon to be) ex-partner was a director.
All points were understood and the case was submitted to the Tipton for processing.
The case was dealt with in a timely manner and subsequently offered resulting in a very happy and relieved client.
As a broker, it is great to know there are lenders operating in the UK where a sensible, personal and sensitive approach can be taken, resulting in positive outcomes for our clients.Rob Field, Mortgage Broker
