Part time customer service advisor

We are looking for someone who will provide excellent customer service through our branch network, promoting our products and services, whilst identifying opportunities to drive process efficiency to benefit the Society and our customers.

Salary: £22,200 per annum (pro rata)
Location: Head office based in Tipton, with branches located in Coseley, Bilston and Sedgley, flexibility is required to work at any of our branches
Hours: Part-time position working Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 2.30pm together with 2 out of 3 Saturdays between 8.45am and 12.00 noon

In this role you will:

  • Provide excellent customer service, embracing the principles of Treating Customers Fairly, and our values.
  • Produce high quality and accurate work including all cashiering functions and standing data.
  • Make a significant contribution to our retail savings, actively seeking new funds and retaining existing funds through conversations with customers.
  • Make a significant contribution to our Mortgage and Protection referral targets.
  • Take responsibility for your own actions, deadlines and targets, ensuring good customer outcomes.
  • Be well organised, able to show initiative and resourcefulness and be a flexible team player with an ability to work under pressure both in a team and independently.
  • Adopt a positive approach towards customers and colleagues.

To be successful you will have:

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral with a mature, credible and comfortable approach dealing with all third parties and colleagues.
  • A right first-time approach with a desire to demonstrate accountability and ownership through completion of tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • A good understanding of what a customer service advisor role within a financial organisation entails.
  • Ideally hold a full UK driving licence

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 GCSE’s at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C, or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Previous experience of working in a customer service environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Good computer skills to enable you to use a variety of different systems and software, including Microsoft Office.
